DCBA 2015 Sponsor Appreciation Dinner Banquet on Nov. 21 at Forest Lake Country Club
Bloomfield Hills, MI - On Saturday, November 21st the DCBA hosted a memorial Annual Sponsor Appreciation Dinner Banquet coming with the first major snow of the season. The event was held at the majestic Forest Lake Country Club. Many DCBA esteemed sponsors, highly respected business professionals and two Chinese delegations attended. Over 130 guests participated in this banquet by engaging the live/silent auction and music performance. It's a gold season to remember.
As our banquet began the host for the snowing evening, JU Alatchanian came to the stage to introduce the president of the DCBA, Jerry Xu. Mr. Xu gave warm thanks to all DCBA sponsors, team members and all guests for making this event. Next up was Mr. Laurent Bresson, the President and COO of Nexteer Automotive. Mr Bresson spoke of the DCBA's newly elected Advisory including 8 expert male members. And Mr. Xu expressed his expectation to invite powerful women entrepreneurs to join the Advisory Board.
The keynote speaker of the evening was Mr. Sun Hongjian, the Deputy Executive of Jingjiang. Mr. Sun introduced the investment environment of Jingjiang City, particular in the auto manufatucirng industry. The City of Jingjiang frequently holds external exchange activities to promote commercial and industrial development internationally. Mr. Sun looks forward to build corporations with Detroit based firms among shipyard building and ocean-engineering equipment, high-end equipment manufacturing, auto parts manufacturing and new energy.
Ms. Fayne Nelson, vice president of Public Affairs for DTE Energy, and president of the DTE Energy Foundation came to the stage to welcome the Chinese delegations. And she was exciting to share exciting news that MSU wins the final play of regulation with OSU. The atmosphere was active by this message.
Ms. Michelle Ma had performed The Canzonet of Mount Yimeng on the piano with particular depth and fluidity. Next up was Andrew Duncan played guitar with many traditional folk songs, and Ms. Jane Ren gave high-quality piano accompaniments during the dinner.
The finale program was the live / silent auction. Ms. Mary Buchzeiger, the CEO of Sure Solutions hosted the live auction as all bidding amounts were donated to her program, YEA! NAWBO/EXCEL. The Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) is a groundbreaking and exciting yearlong class that transforms middle and high school students into real, confident entrepreneurs. Mary expressed her thanks to all auction item donors, including Frank Yang, the President of ZYNP INCODEL; Dan Swetich, the Membership Director of Forest Lake Country Club; Jing Kobelsky from Delta Air Lines; Matt and Debbie Gibb from Oakland County; Ali Teng from Tiffany; Greektown Casino-Hotel; KPMG and Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
