Ms. Kathleen A. Ligocki

Kathleen Ligocki brings almost three decades of experience working in multinational industrial companies in a broad range of general management roles, most recently focusing on turnaround operations.

Kathleen Ligocki served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Tower Automotive from late 2003 to 2007. She led the company through a successful Chapter 11 restructuring process culminating in the confirmation of an uncontested Plan of Reorganization and the sale of the company to a new investor, Cerberus Capital Management.

She joined Tower Automotive from the Ford Motor Company, where she served as a corporate officer, including roles as Vice-President, Ford Customer Service Division, President & CEO, Ford of Mexico, Vice-President, North American Marketing with P&L responsibility for Ford's Canadian, Mexican and worldwide export operations, and Director of Business Strategy.

Ligocki worked for United Technologies Corporation from 1994 to 1998 initially for Carrier Corporation's European and Transcontinental Operations located in Paris, France serving as Director Manufacturing & Purchasing for operations in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Russia. She also worked at United Technologies Automotive as Vice-President, Strategy and Worldwide Sales and as Vice-President & General Manager, Motors Systems Division based in Dearborn, Michigan.

From 1979 to 1994, Ligocki served at Delco Electronics, a division of General Motors, in various manufacturing, engineering, sales, finance and strategy positions including two years as a General Motors Fellow at the Wharton School. Prior to joining the corporate world, Ligocki had experience working for the government as a community development planner and teaching school.

Ligocki graduated with highest distinction from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies. She also holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an honorary doctorate of Humane Letters from Indiana
