Mr. Richard Chow-Wah
Richard Chow-Wah is currently Vice President, Powertrain Manufacturing and Powertrain Core Team Leader at Chrysler group. He is responsible for directing all activities of Powertrain Manufacturing operations and leads the Powertrain Core Team. Major products are Engines, Transmissions and Axles.
From March 2001 to December 2001, he was Vice President and General Manager of Powertrain - Engine, Foundry & Axles, DaimlerChrysler, Auburn Hills. He was responsible for all of DaimlerChrysler's group Engine, Foundry and Axle Operations comprising of seven manufacturing locations in North America and TRITEC joint venture with BMW in South America. Total sales revenue on a cost basis was $4.0 billion. Employing approximately 11,600 people.
From January 1999 to February 2001, he was Vice President and General Manager, Component Operations, DaimlerChrysler, Auburn Hills. He was
Responsible for all of DaimlerChrysler's Group Component Operations comprising of seven manufacturing locations in North America. Total sales revenue on a cost basis is $3.1 billion, and there were over 11,000 employees in Research and Development, Manufacturing, Sales and Support. Major products range from HVAC systems, electronic products, transmission and engine components, to glass products, just to name a few.
Chow-Wah served as Plant Manager - Huntsville Electronics DaimlerChrysler, Huntsville from December 1996 to December 1998 and Operations Manager – Huntsville Electronics from 1994 to 1996, respectively.
Chow-Wah attended York University, Toronto where he received an MBA and also attended the University of Windsor where he received a Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering.
