Bruce M. Belzowski, Associate Director and Assistant Research Scientist, received his B.A. and M.A. from the University of California, Berkeley and the University of Michigan, respectively. At UMTRI, he has authored research reports focusing on a variety of automotive topics including product development, manufacturer-supplier-dealer relations, globalization, information technology, knowledge management, and human resources. His current research topics include powertrain strategies and globalization of the automotive industry. He is co-director of UMTRI’s China Automotive Program and Powertrain Strategies Program.

Jamie C. Hsu is a Professor at Management and Engineering at Lawrence Technological University. He teaches MBA students on Strategic Management and Leadership. He specializes in strategic management, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, technology management, global collaboration, business planning, and career development. He also consults GM and other China institutes on special management programs.
Prior to Lawrence Technological University, he was an Executive Director at GM Global Technology Management. There he was responsible for establishing GM’s global technology strategy and managing the portfolio of advanced programs. He was in charge of global technology collaboration between GM North America, GM China, GM Daewoo, Suzuki, Subaru, and Isuzu. Dr. Hsu received his PhD from Brown University.
